The Journey

I met with my realtor last night and signed the papers to move forward with the selling of my house. He actually told me that he may have someone that is already interested in purchasing my home. MAN, when God moves He moves quickly. I have a lot to do this weekend around the house, before he takes pictures for the online home listing. Some of my friends are going to come over and help, so hopefully we move quickly.

Well last night I spoke with the gentleman from the Gallery in MD that I will be working with.  He is really a nice man. His name is Kwame and his gallery is called “Studio 2001″. It is located in Clinton, MD on Woodyard Road. On the phone, he said that he will be contacting an individual that may be able to help me learn more about the art business/world and give me a part-time job. Please keep it in your prayers :D. (I will keep you posted.)

I went to Barnes and Noble last night and, as usual, I had a wonderful time. I actually had to approach a few people to get some reference images for the Weekly Creative post “Together” (Look for it on Friday ;)) After getting a few snapshots, I went and sat in the cafe to draw and read a magazine. I decided to draw the human form since I really had not practice doing that in awhile. My friend had given me a book by Burne Hogarth for my birthday, so I used it as a reference.

I was drawing a picture of my friends daughter last night (see it here) and I realized something; practice really does make perfect. Each day that I draw a picture for the Daily Sketch post, it seems to become easier and easier to utilize certain drawing techniques. It is as if my brain and hand move together in sync without much effort. Though I have not reached the “level” that I would like to be at, I can see myself moving toward it.
