The Journey

Just a short message to let you all know that things are coming along well. My friends came over and helped me pack/give away things yesterday. I will be finishing up things at my house between today and Friday (cleaning, packing small stuff, etc.) Talk to you soon. (Keep me in your prayers.)

On Sunday four of my friends modeled for reference images that I will use for my art. My aunt took the images in her photography studio, and they came out perfectly. She was a huge help. I was soo excited when I saw how the images turned out. God truly led me to the right individuals to model. I had 3 men and 1 woman. The entire photo shoot lasted from 10:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m, and the time flew by.

We had to spray the chest and faces of the men to emulate sweat for some of the images, and man was the water cold. It was so cute when they started squealing and flinching away from the water because it was so cold.  They did really well though and we all got a good laugh out of it.
I was so blessed to see my vision coming to fruition. I praised God before, during, and after for how He continues to lead in my life.

I have been QUITE busy over the past few days. My family came in town for a wedding and to help me fix up things around the house. They were a BIG help. On Sunday morning my mechanic came over to fix my radiator and we found out that my head gasket had blown. It was a hard lesson to learn, but I can tell you that I will never forget to watch my thermostat. The cost to fix the head gasket is $1200. Yeah, it took my breath away too when I heard the price. BUT my mechanic said that the car is worth fixing, so I am going to get it fixed. I realized that I am truly going through my Job experience and that God has BIG plans for my life :) :). So, in all of this, I am still praising God because together we are going to build His Kingdom and draw people closer to Him.
I do ask that you continue to keep me in your prayers, but know that I have a peace that passeth all understanding. God is soo good and I love what He is doing in me. My faith in Him is daily strengthened and the plan that He has for my life is continually reaffirmed.
The photo shoot has been set up for this coming Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at my aunt’s studio in her home. She has been a BIG help thus far and I praise God for her. God also blessed me with another Website contract, which will help me to pay off some of my bills. He just keeps on blessing.

And I am lovin’ it!

Well it is official, I quit my job today! I gave my boss a 30 days notice, and let him know that I would be leaving on the 2nd of February. At first I was a little nervous, but it went very well. I have never “quit” a job before, especially one that I liked. My boss was great though. He asked me about my plans and was really interested in what I would be doing. I told him that my leaving had nothing to do with my job situation, because I really have enjoyed my job. My coworkers, customer, and everything else included have truly been a blessing. I let him know that I simply have to pursue my dreams. I do not want to “live” my life regretting never stepping out on faith and pursuing my dreams.
After we talked I shook his hand and he gave me a hug, wishing me the best. (I told you that I had a great boss.) He asked me to stay in contact with everyone and to let them know how things are going, and I promised that I would. So, all in all, it was a great meeting :).

My last day at work will be the 2nd of February, but I will actually be moving back to Maryland on the 9th of February. I have a lot of things to take care of and put in order, so please continue to keep me in your prayers.

Man, talk about life changes. I can promise you that I will NEVER forget 2007. God is really making a whole new me. I have started exercising more (running everyday for 2 miles and increasing that each week) and then something even bigger happened last night…
I CUT ALL OF MY HAIR OFF! (well, I have about an inch to keep me warm
No, but really I did cut off my hair. The reason for this is that I am going natural. It seems like everything around and within me is changing. I am starting on a whole new leaf, and LOVIN’ IT!
(I have to go get the ends clipped and shaped up a little bit, but once I do I will post a picture for you all to see.
