The Journey

I began this drawing of leaves in my Watercolor sketchbook. Once it is complete, I will post the final-product. (I really like the contrasts of dark and light.)

Well today’s daily sketch has a pretty unique background. The short version is that while driving home from the store today, I noticed a Mitsubishi car in front me. So, I decided to sketch the back of the car at the next light. All was going well until the light changed. I did not have enough time to properly draw the car, and the sketch did not look too good. When I arrived home I decided to draw up a sketch that detailed the “Death of my drawing”. Here it is. Have a great night!

Hola everyone. I am up extremely late tonight because I had so much to get done. A few days ago I purchased the “infamous” Moleskin journal. It is said to be the premier journal, used by many famous Artists.
Now, is this why I purchased it?…No and yes. I found out that it was also a journal that lies flat, which is very convenient.
So, to stay creative and diligent, I am beginning to sketch each and every day again. See what I have done so far below.

The other day I was thinking about when I first began twogil.com…I woke up every morning and spent time drawing and writing posts just for The Journey. However, as time has gone by, I have become engulfed in drawing for my art show in August (moved from July to August to accommodate a family member). My days are filled with the excitement of working on finishing each new piece. BUT, I realized that I still have to keep twogil.com going :). I love sketching and drawing new exciting “mini” pictures each day and I am going to begin again. So, look forward to the “Daily Sketches” to begin tomorrow (Memorial Day 2007). Thanks for staying with me on The Journey. (P.S. I will keep you all posted about the date, time, and exact location of the show. Hopefully I will see some of you there )
