Almost 25 and Goals in Life
Over the past few days I have been thinking about turning the “big” two-five; yep 25. On July 10th I will turn a quarter of a century…and I am happy about it :D. As is common however, the approaching quarter of a century birth date does lead one to contemplate life and goals. We all have many aspirations in life, but how many do we actually go after and accomplish…?
For those of you that have been with me on “The Journey” from the beginning, you know that one of the reasons that I decided to do art full-time was to fulfill a dream/goal. The dream of producing meaningful art full-time had permeated my mind since I was a child. But, did my dreams stop there? No, indeed. So, my friends, today I will be revealing to you all some of my other goals and what I am doing to make them happen :). Hopefully my perseverance and diligence in accomplishing the goals set before me will encourage you to reach for your goals too.
Goal #2 (Goal #1 being already in the works)
Ride in a Century once a year beginning at age 25
I have always loved cycling, so I decided that I should work towards a goal instead of simply riding every-once-in-awhile.
::What is a Century?
A Century is a 100-mile ride done by Cyclists across the nation. There are a plethora of Centuries that take place each and every year. My first Century will be on September 9th in Oxon Hill Maryland.
::What am I doing to accomplish this goal?
I am currently training for the Century by riding a specific distance everyday, with Fridays off. (If you want more details, shoot me an email tiffani@twogil.com)
Goal #3
Participate in one Triathlon per year
I love to cycle, swim, and run, so I decided to make this one of my lifelong goals.
::What is a Triathlon?
A competitive race that includes cycling, swimming, and running specified distances back-to-back.
::What am I doing to accomplish this goal?
As of right now, my focus is on Goal #2, BUT I do plan on attending a seminar in July given by a Triathlete. He will talking about how to train for a triathlon and will be giving other valuable information.
Goal #4
See all of the Natural Wonders of the World
Goal #5
Visit all of the 7 Continents
Goal #6
Write 10 books (including art books, children’s books, Christian Books, art books, etc.) — Check out the self-publishing website www.lulu.com
Goal #7
Become a Public Speaker (Speaking/Ministering to others about the Gospel and God’s Word.)
I have many other goals, but these are the most prominent in my mind at this time. As God helps me to attain each of these goals, I will let you know :).
I would love to hear some of your personal goals. Feel free to post them!
