I like this style. Its cool how you made dimensions in the face with the lines, you even made lips. The way the lines on the checks droop down makes her look like an older woman.....and she has a bun. There seems to be a dip in her forehead..... anyway. I don't know if I'm suppose to see an eye, but I do. In the area where the eye is suppose to be you have a line curving up and a line curving down and if you stare at it long enough you see the eye. Is that on purpose or am I seeing things?

I really like the colors two, its like fire. Going from yellow to orange to reddish-orange.

Can"t wait to see more!!

Comment on Creative Theme - “Ambition” by Annell

This guy doesn't really seem that ambitious. He's not doing anything to further his goals, he is just sitting there staring at the ceiling. He is a day dreamer. You can tell by the board and his clothes that he talks the talk. He probably tells everyone about his plans......how he does this, how he plans to do that. Yet there is no action.

Looking at his facial expression he appears to be some what happy. There is like a smugness to him, a since of satisfaction. But when I look at his eyes there is no fire. Could it be that what I see as satisfaction you see as self confidence?

I like the art of the board-really nice. He knows he will succeed....... at what? His focus is on dreaming. He has "I will succeed!" written three times, yet success is only a concept. He has no written plans which would be the concrete steps to success. This is where that since of satisfaction comes in. He appears to be satisfied at looking successful (got the suit and tie, with a fresh hair cut-real corporate) therefore he has little drive to further action.

The art was good, but I don't think it conveyed the concept.

When you get back from Korea I think you should do another concept vote.....I really liked this. I think if you did a very unique line of concept themes that are spot on they would sell. Just a thought.....but of course let the Lord be your guide. :)

Hey girl :). (The painting does look nice.) It has been awhile since the last time I made a post to the blog. In a nut-shell, I am leaving for Korea in 16 days. I will be teaching Bible and English for a year and then studying Korean at a University for a year and a half. While there, I will also explore their art culture. [I will email you with more details. ttyl]
