This is really cute. You have truly captured her expression and the shading is really good. I think the transition of the darker shadow to the lighter shadow created by the hat on her forehead could have been a little better and the edge of the right side cheek (below the ear) is a little too dark. I like the inside of the ear- the detail is pretty good, but the out-line of it doesn’t match the pic.
I think the eye area was done well. The shape and position of the eyes look perfect to me. The way you did the brow area/betweent the brows is great- It makes her expression come through- that shading is really good.
Between the eyes that dark area that travels from the left side eye, I think it comes over to the right too far- I don’t think it reaches the nose bridge. The shading on the nose is good, but for some reason the top of the nose looks flat- what do you think.
I think the outline of the mouth is good, but within the outline more of the space should have been used as the inside of her mouth. The out-line of the face and the hat looks good. Nice job. The cheeks look really good too.
I agree! I agree!
Once again Annell, once again!
I was struggling with her mouth and her nose. I had a hard time capturing the shadowed areas inside her mouth and on the top of her nose. Thanks for the shading compliment(s). Each time I draw I try to make my blending techniques better.
