H20color Practice: step-by-step
Over the past few weeks, I have done a lot of research on famous watercolor artists. From this research, I have discovered 5 artists that I really want to learn more from:
- Thomas Eakins
- Andrew Wyeth
- Winslow Homer
- Albrecht Durer
- Edward Hopper
These seem to be the quintessential artists of history in relation to watercolor. I desire to be the best, so I must study the best.
Among these 5 however, two remain prominent in my thirst to learn more. They are Andrew Wyeth and Albrecht Durer. In each work of their works of art, I can see an attention to detail, mastery of technique, and an exceptional understanding of color.
I started my practice with Andrew Wyeth’s piece below:

Here is my copy of his piece:
Keep up the work cuz. Looks good. You’ve been blessed with a gift.
Thanks Micheil.
