Taxes
I have been working on my taxes all week, and I am almost finished :). The process was very smooth, since I used TurboTax. What makes it even better is that it told me how much of a refund I will be receiving.
I picked up some 1099Misc forms, so that I can finish up the last few sections of my taxes. Once I send these out and take care of a few more last minute to-do’s, I will be done.
Now, back to the Art.;)

Practice pays off!
I am very pleased with the way this piece is turning out. See below for progress.
[fyi I only used the primary colors to produce this watercolor piece - blue, yellow, and red]

H20color Practice: step-by-step
Over the past few weeks, I have done a lot of research on famous watercolor artists. From this research, I have discovered 5 artists that I really want to learn more from:
- Thomas Eakins
- Andrew Wyeth
- Winslow Homer
- Albrecht Durer
- Edward Hopper
These seem to be the quintessential artists of history in relation to watercolor. I desire to be the best, so I must study the best.
Among these 5 however, two remain prominent in my thirst to learn more. They are Andrew Wyeth and Albrecht Durer. In each work of their works of art, I can see an attention to detail, mastery of technique, and an exceptional understanding of color.
I started my practice with Andrew Wyeth’s piece below:

Here is my copy of his piece:
