What are you doing with your talent?…
Last night I went to chill with my best friend while she twisted a guys hair. While there I decided to draw in my sketchbook. As I was drawing, a guy passed by and looked in my sketchbook. He shouted out loud, “MAN you are nice!” I politely said thank you and was planning to continue drawing, but before I could do so he began to pick up my book and peruse through its’ pages. He had a look of amazement on his face as he flipped each page, and I smiled as I watched him. It is always nice to see someone appreciate your work. 
The next thing that happened is what truly inspired this post…he said, “What are you doing with it?!”
You know how someone can ask you a question and not even realize that the very question permeated your entire being and not just your hearing? I literally had a euphoric experience. It was as if I was standing there looking at the whole scene, and time stood still. The great thing was that I was smiling as it happened. You see, I KNOW what I am doing with my talent now! I no longer have to sit and contemplate how I can use my talent or why God even blessed me with it. My hands are untied, my mind is open, and my life has been renewed.
So…I answered. “My friend, I am going to produce art full-time…for God.”

Anytime my friend, anytime
TOO funny and ironic!….I was just taking with my husband about this last night. We were discussing how different we were from our other couple friends and also how we are alike. We talked about what characteristics we would gleam from each of them and which ones we would leave. I have a friend named Mosetta that from the outside looking in (because I am not a close, close friend) I want a huge amounbt of her attributes. I like almost everything about her. She has many talents. I told my husband that I did not know what my talent (what I choose to call a spiritual gift) is. Sadly enough, I believe I may never know. I have to be honest though I have not prayed about it and asked God to reveal it to me. I guess I just thought that if I waited long enough it would just show up….no such luck yet. But, because of speaking on this exact topic last night with my husband and then reading this today in your blog from 12/15/06, I think I will pray and ask God to reveal it to me. I will keep you posted :)! Thank you for today’s journey…..
Charlotte, I am glad that you were inspired to pray about your talent. I WILL keep you in my prayers, and pray that God will reveal it to you. The Word says that He stands at the door of our hearts, and all we have to do is let Him in. When you pray, expect that He will reveal it to you and He will. (Doubt has no place with a Christian of faith
:D :D) Who knows you may already be using your talent and not even realize it
