What is TWOGIL?

Published by TWOGIL...

Pronunciation: ‘two’-'gill’
Acronym: The Word Of God Is Life

After making the decision to pursue my lifelong goal, I realized how important an artist name is. At first I thought about using my name as the signature for my art, but then I noticed that would deter from the mission. So after much thought and prayer, God showed me something very important. A few years back, I had drawn a picture of a mother holding her babies hand, and I entitled it Isaiah 66:13. Since the day that I completed this piece of art, I have never forgotten that verse. I can say it from memory and it has gotten me through many trials. I realized the fact that we as human beings are visual, and if I could visually depict a verse, it would stay forever in the memory of the viewer. You see I remembered that the Word of God is life John 6:63, thus, if it is in memory, it invokes life, i.e. fulfilling the mission.

  1. [...] As stated previously in the What is TWOGIL? section, the first inspiring piece done to fuel the ministry was entitled Isaiah 66:13. I have included an image of this piece below to show the power that comes from visually depicting a verse from the Word of God. This one piece has helped me to take God at His Word and believe that no matter what the trial, He will comfort me. Be sure to read the verse first; it will make the power of the piece even deeper. I hope that you are blessed by this piece of artwork as much as I have been. [...]

  2. [...] It is official, The Journey is finally live! To those who do not know, I am the artist TWOGIL, and the The Journey is my online journal. It is a collection of the thoughts, processes, and steps that I have and am still going through to become a full-time fine artist. On a daily basis you will be able to walk with me through the steps that are necessary to become a full-time fine artist. I will begin this journal with the steps that I have already taken in a post called The Decision (which will be posted tomorrow morning). I hope that you are blessed by The Journey and in some way encouraged to accomplish your own lifelong goals. Be sure to look at the pages to the right to learn even more about The Journey. Leave a comment and have a GREAT day! [...]
